RAIPUR: The state government has decided to give a prominent place to the picture of Chhattisgarh Mahatari in every government programme that will take place from now on. The picture of Chhattisgarh Mahtari was made during the Chhattisgarh State Banao Movement in the 1990s.
Chief minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel announced the decision saying that Chhattisgarhs magnificence, prosperity is from our farmers, their happiness is all because of the blessings of Chhattisgarh Mahtari. He said it has now been decided that from now now onwards a picture of Chhattisgarh Mahtari will be prominently placed in all the government programs.
The main objective behind the decision is that this is how we can remember the glorious history and culture of our soil., he said. The beginning of placing the Mahtari picture in programs started last week. During a meeting at Pathalgaon assembly segment, CM had started meeting after offering prayers to Chhattisgarh Mahtari. In the past also, in various government, social and political programs, offering and worship of Mahtari has been done but was not a regular practice.
