NEW DELHI: The opening Twenty20 international between Pakistan and New Zealand in Rawalpindi on Thursday was called off due to rain. Only two deliveries were bowled before the heavy downpour forced the match to no result.
After the toss got delayed by half an hour, New Zealand captain Michael Bracewell chose to bat first upon winning it. Persistent rain then prevented any further play for the next two and a half hours, ultimately leading to the abandonment.
