INDORE: The maximum temperature dropped by 2.6 degrees as 2 mm rainfall was recorded in Indore till 5:30 pm on Wednesday.
As a part of pre-monsoon activity, Indoreans witnessed good showers in various parts of the city.
Though the sun kept playing hide and seek during the afternoon hours, rise in humidity caused a lot of discomfort especially for those traversing across the city during the day time.
As per the weatherman, there are chances of light showers even on Thursday at various districts of Indore division including Indore district as well.
“Light Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to continue over Barwani, Bawangaja, adjoining Khargone, Burhanpur, South Indore, Dhar, Alirajpur and Dewas districts in night hours too,” Met scientist, Ved Prakash Singh told TOI.
The maximum temperature recorded in the city was 38.2 degree Celsius which is 1.3 degrees below normal maximum temperature with a drop of 2.6 degrees in a span of 24 hours.
The minimum temperature of Indore as per the Met department was 26.8 degree Celsius with a rise of 0.8 degrees in a span of 24 hours which is 1.3 degrees above normal minimum temperature.
The relative humidity per cent in the morning was 63 per cent and it came down by 18 notches to 45 per cent in the evening time making it slight relief.
Highest maximum temperature of the state was recorded at Khajuraho with 45.6 degree Celsius followed by 45 degree Celsius which was at Gwalior and Damoh.
