Thursday the NFL announced their designated home teams for their three games in London and their game in Munich Germany. Those teams are as follows:
Chicago Bears in London (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)
Minnesota Vikings in London (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)
Jacksonville Jaguars in London (Wembley Stadium)
Carolina Panthers in Munich (Allianz Arena)
If the Raiders were going to play overseas this year, it would be an away game as they have nine of them. And the Raiders don’t play any of these four teams on the road, which means they will not be headed to London or Germany next season.
There is, however, still one international game yet to be announced. That’s the first ever NFL game played in South America.
The NFL will be headed to San Paulo Brazil in 2024 and until they announce either the designated teams, much of the NFL could be a potential opponent.
This goes especially for the Raiders as 2024 will mark five years since the Raiders last played an international game. That game was the first ever played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in 2019.
Should the Raiders not be one of the teams to play in Brazil this season, the odds of them hosting an international game in 2025 would increase considerably due to the fact that the NFL will up the number of teams hosting international games to eight in 2025.
