The Cincinnati Bengals lost a little tight end depth ahead of the Week 17 encounter with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The team has the Las Vegas Raiders to thank, as they swooped in and signed tight end Zach Gentry off the Cincinnati practice squad to their own 53-man roster, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Gentry joined the Bengals back in the start of September as the 16th and final member of the initial practice squad to start the season.
Drew Sample, Tanner Hudson, Irv Smith Jr. and Mitchell Wilcox remain the only tight ends on the active roster as the position has grown in importance in the Jake Browning-led offense since Joe Burrow went down.
