Everything was clicking for the Raiders in Week 9. Not only did the offense have their best day of the season, but the defense recorded eight sacks. It was the best overall game we’ve seen from the Raiders in the last several seasons.
But don’t forget about the special teams. AJ Cole nearly set an NFL record in 2022 with the highest yards per punt average in the league history. On Sunday, he set the single-game record with 63.6.

The Raiders have one of the best special teams units in the league, and they help them stay in a lot of games. If the Raiders are going to make a run over the next few months, look for the specialists, including Cole, to be a big reason why. He might just be the NFL’s best punter and that’s been the case over the last few years.
