Rahul Gandhi seeks Amit Shah's resignation over Ambedkar remarks

New Delhi: Leader of Oppsosition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday sought Union Home Minister Amit Shah's resignation over his remarks on Dr BR Ambedkar in Rajya Sabha.


Addressing a press confernce in New Delhi, Rahul Gandhi accusing BJP of being anti-Ambedkar and also demanded Union Home Minister Amit Shah's resignation over his remarks on Ambedkar in Rajya Sabha. 
 
"We demanded that Union Home Minister should apologize and resign. Today, again they have started a new distraction. We were peacefully going to Parliament. BJP MPs did not let us go inside. The reality is that they have insulted Dr BR Ambedkar," Rahul Gandhi said.

Rahul Gandhi also accused the ruling party MPs of deliberately obstructing the Opposition's efforts to raise many issues, including Adani's indictment in US, in Parliament.

"A few days before Parliament session began, the Adani issue came up in America and the BJP tried to stop Parliment to hold discussion on it. The basic strategy of the BJP was that there should be no discussion on this case. BJP's strategy was that this issue should not be discussed in the House. After that Amit Shah's statement came. We say that the BJP and the RSS are anti-Ambedkar and anti-Constitutional," Gandhi added.
