Rafael Nadal has clinched a record 22nd grand slam win, cleaning up at the French Open in straight sets.

The Spaniard took down Casper Ruud 6-3, 6-3, 6-0 in the final, despite battling a foot problem.

The win, Nadal's 14th at Roland Garros, extends his lead on rivals Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer in the tally of most men's grand slam wins ever.

More to come.
