BBC Radio 1's new summer shake-up sees Greg James' radio show moved to a new time.
This summer, Yinka Bokinni and Conor Knight will be taking over the Friday Early Breakfast slot from 5am to 6.30am.
Yinka, who spent three years hosting Capital Xtra's Breakfast Show, said: “I am beyond excited to start this new chapter at BBC Radio 1. Music is the heartbeat of my life, so bringing more of it to people is such an opportunity, one that I take as seriously as my personality allows.
“Working at Radio 1 has been a dream of mine since I first picked up a pair of headphones and spoke a couple of words, I just can’t wait to get to know the listeners and for them to get to know me!”
Conor will be kicking off the summer rotation in July and "cannot wait to get in the studio and do my thing".
This means Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Greg James will be moved to a new time slot of 7.30am to 11am from Monday to Friday for the duration of the summer.
He will only be starting and finishing thirty minutes later than usual.
Greg said: “A summer holiday lie in! I’ll tell my mum to wake me up a bit later for a few weeks.”
The radio star has been hosting Radio 1 Breakfast since 2018, when he took over from Nick Grimshaw.
Previously speaking about his role, he explained: “I do understand how amazing it is to get this show. But it would have been fine if I hadn’t and it’ll be fine when I don’t.”
As part of the summer schedule, Jack Saunders will host Radio 1's Future Sounds while Clara Amfo takes a break.
Arielle Free will take over Radio 1’s Future Artists, while Sam MacGregor and Danni Diston will cover Radio 1 Early Breakfast and Alyx Holcombe will present Radio 1’s Indie Show.
Shanequa Paris will also join Katie Thistleton on Radio 1's Life Hacks and Oré Olukoga will take over Radio 1's Weekend Breakfast show.
