Greg James ' countdown started rolling on the morning of March 18, as tickets for Radio 1’s Big Weekend went up for sale.
Heaven on My Mind singer Becky Hill, who has had a string of top 10 hits, is due to take to the stage for the festival.
Set to take place in Coventry, the Big Weekend 2022 is extra special after the event was held virtually in both 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Coventry picked up the lauded title of City of Culture for 2021, which could well have been a factor for it being selected as the city for this year's Big Weekend.
What will no doubt be an emotional return of live music for artists and fans alike, anticipation for the event has skyrocketed.
Saturday Tickets sold out in less than an hour and 15 minutes, although at the time of writing tickets are believed to still be available for Sunday.
Many people are understood to have been disappointed and were unable to get tickets. It's thought over 50,000 people joined the queue in the hope of securing them.

Can I get resale tickets for Radio 1’s Big Weekend?
Ticketmaster is operating a ticket exchange that will allow people to ship them on if they can’t go.
The system will force people to resell their tickets at face value, which means people looking to profit won’t be able to hike up the price and exploit honest festival-goers.
