American rock stars Queens of the Stone Age have announced a headline show at Cardiff Castle as one of only three UK dates on their upcoming 2023 tour. The band have not played a UK show since 2018 and the Cardiff gig is one of just three they'll play in the UK in 2023.
They last toured the UK for their 2017 chart-topping album Villains, and have announced the Cardiff show alongside dates in Halifax and Margate. The Californian band will also play various music festivals across Europe in the summer.
The Cardiff Castle show will be held on Friday, June 23. It marks the first time the band play a headline show in Cardiff since 2002. Isle of Wight "indie-grunge" band Coach Party will play support at all three UK dates.

They join other high-profile artists to announce Cardiff Castle shows this summer, including Tom Jones who announced second and third dates after phenomenal demand. Other acts headlining the castle include the Lumineers and Rag 'n' Bone Man.
