The New York Police Department is currently investigating a Queens man who was arrested after being found with a significant amount of weapons and other concerning items. The man, identified as a 27-year-old named Judd Sanson, was pulled over by officers for driving a Black Ford Explorer with a blacked-out license plate around 1:30 a.m.
Upon searching Sanson's vehicle, officers discovered a large cache of weapons, including a 9-millimeter Glock, 100 rounds of ammunition, a stun gun, multiple knives, a weighted whip, an expandable baton, heavy body armor, and two axes. Additionally, handcuffs, NYPD uniform items, and a New York City transit vest were also found in the car.
Sanson now faces charges of criminal possession of a loaded firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of an ammo feed device, and an obscured license plate. The investigation is ongoing to determine if Sanson had any plans to carry out an attack with the weapons in his possession.
Authorities are taking the case very seriously, with Governor Kathy Hochul emphasizing that there is no tolerance for such behavior. The NYPD's Intelligence Division and the Joint Terrorism Task Force have been involved in the investigation due to the nature of the weapons and items found in Sanson's possession.
While it is still early in the investigation, officials are working diligently to gather more information about the arrest. The police are committed to thoroughly investigating the incident to ensure the safety and security of the public.
