The Queen was photographed driving many times and was a big fan of her cars - but one man was left astounded at her sheer skill when she was forced to make a manoeuvre at the last minute to avoid his pet. George Davidson, 51, was walking through Windsor Great park in the early 2000's when his Jack Russell terrier scarpered away.
The pooch darted in front of a Range Rover, stopping directly in its path, and as a result, forced the driver to slam on the brakes and swerve - taking some skill and practice. George, who was horrified, looked up and was amazed to see the Queen behind the wheel.

Queen Elizabeth II seemed to have that positive effect on many though, and as the nation grieves her loss, things across the UK will not be 'business as usual' for the foreseeable, as the country has entered an official period of mourning.
