QPR boss Mick Beale says Tyler Roberts has looked 'fantastic' in training, with the Leeds United loanee set to make his debut for the Championship club on Tuesday evening.
Roberts has missed the opening two games of the Championship season through injury, but he is set to be involved in QPR's Carabao Cup first round match against Charlton Athletic. Beale, who has already likened the Whites loanee to Liverpool's Roberto Firmino, believes Roberts will be a 'really high-quality' performer for his side.
“I have to say, he’s looked fantastic in training,” Beale told West London Sport.
“It looks like he’s going to be a really, really high-quality player for us.
“He’s got a really good profile when you see him on the pitch in terms of the size of him and he’s going to bring quality to our team in a number of positions.”
A host of Championship sides were interested in signing Roberts this summer, but it was the London club who were successful in their pursuit of the Wales international. The 23-year-old will spend the season at Loftus Road, where promotion would give QPR the option of buying Roberts permanently.
The forward has made 108 appearances for Leeds, scoring nine goals and assisting 10.
