A Queensland man has been charged with attempted murder after police identified the home where a teen boy was shot in the chest.
The 17-year-old was in critical but stable condition in a Brisbane hospital on Thursday.
He was initially dropped off at Logan Hospital, south of Brisbane about 1.10am on Wednesday.
Queensland Police were initially uncertain where the shooting happened but on Thursday closed in on a home in Waterford West and later found a car believed to be linked to the attack in Marsden.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Brendan Blyth said investigators believe the teen was shot by a person known to him.
On Thursday night, a 22-year-old man was charged with one count each of attempted murder and possessing a shortened firearm.
He will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday.
