A man has fronted court after being charged with a domestic violence offence by detectives investigating a woman's death east of Brisbane.
Police are still probing the cause of the 59-year-old woman's death, after her body was found by officers checking on her welfare at a home in Capalaba on Saturday night.
A 42-year-old man, who was arrested at the home earlier that day, has fronted court after being charged with breaching an aggravated domestic violence order by contacting the woman earlier that day.
The man is also facing charges of seriously assaulting police during his arrest on Saturday.
He appeared briefly before the Cleveland Magistrates Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.
The man is due to re-appear in the same court on November 22.
