Russell Wilson came to the Pittsburgh Steelers on a one-year contract, but that’s not how the quarterback views it. He’s in it for the long haul.
“I see it as a long-term goal,” Wilson told Missi Matthews of Steelers.com on how he characterizes his contract. “I want to be part of the Pittsburgh community for a really long time and I’m really excited about that. Hopefully we can add some more championships.”
Prior to his interview with Matthews, Wilson held his introductory press conference and shared how much longer he wanted to play.
“I’ve got five to seven more years of ball that I really want to be the best that I can be,” Wilson said. “Who you marry up with matters.”
Wilson landed him a great partner in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Let’s hope it’s a long and happy marriage.
