Putin cancelled annual press conference over Russian anti-war feeling, say British defence chiefs

Anti-war sentiment in Russia is likely to be behind the cancelling of Vladimir Putin’s traditional end-of-year press conference, British defence chiefs said on Tuesday.

The Kremlin confirmed on Monday that the event, which often runs for hours, had been cancelled - the first time it will not take place in a decade.
