PUNE: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), now under an administrator, has decided to rethink the approvals given by outgoing elected members at the end of their term recently — to extend at least 15 civic properties as cultural centres and multi-purpose halls on a rental charge of Re1 per month.
The move by the elected members was seen as an effort to gain political mileage for when the civic elections are held. However, the civic administration feels that a paltry Re1 monthly rent is not economically viable.
