PUNE: Consistent and heavy rainfall in the catchments of four dams in the Khadakwasla circle catapulted their collective storage above last year's on Monday.
State irrigation department data showed that the collective stock in the four dams was at 9.47 TMC (33%) on Monday, which was almost one TMC more than the last year's reserve of 8.6 TMC. The four reservoirs managed to collect over 6 TMC water within a span of one week - equivalent to the city's water requirements of four months, the data showed.
