Sky Sports pundit Jobi McAnuff has tipped Nottingham Forest to get over the line with their push for a top-six finish.
It’s make or break time for Steve Cooper’s side as they gear up for their final 10 games of the season. They currently sit ninth in the table, three points below sixth-placed Blackburn Rovers. However, the Reds have at least one game in hand on most of their rivals, as well as a much better goal difference. And, prior to the international break, they were riding a wave of momentum.
Since the turn of the year, they have lost just twice. One of those defeats was to Premier League giants Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, and the other was away to Cardiff City at the end of January. Before losing to Jurgen Klopp’s men, Forest were on a nine-match unbeaten run. And they had won three in a row in all competitions.

McAnuff is backing the Reds to put together another streak of form and keep their promotion dream alive. He is surprised, however, that they are not in the play-off pack already.
“I actually can’t believe that they are not in the play-offs yet given the run that they have been on under Steve Cooper,” he told Sky Sports’ EFL podcast, via Football League World. “But with the games in hand, I really do feel that they will come through the pack and get in the play-offs.”
First up for Forest is a trip to Blackpool on Saturday. Six of their remaining matches are on the road, including at Fulham and Bournemouth. Coventry City, Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City have to visit the City Ground.
