Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Christian Daniel is opening a new musical chapter with "¿Dónde Estás?," but as he presented his latest music Thursday, the conversation inevitably turned to two countries that have shaped him in very different ways: Cuba and Venezuela.
The singer released "¿Dónde Estás?" on Sept. 24, a rhythmic pop track about the emptiness left when someone who once occupied an important place in your life suddenly disappears. Produced by Gonzalo López Regueiro and co-written by Daniel and Manuel Enrique Díaz, the song pairs an upbeat pulse with lyrics rooted in longing, vulnerability and the loss of pride that can come with searching for someone who is no longer there.
