A pub has hit back after a customer complained about having to wait 15 minutes for a carvery.
The customer, known as Nikki, left a review online stating that she was unhappy after she had to wait for her carvery, having already ordered ahead to collect. She had visited The White Swan in Wythall last month but was so unhappy with her experience that she decided to share it online.
Most reviews online are positive and the business has a rating of 3.8 based on 1,170 independent reviews on Google. Visitors tend to compliment the food and the staff, with one review reading: "The food and service were excellent and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, we will be returning next week for our dinner."

However, according to Birmingham Live, Nikki did not enjoy her experience as she said: "You can get far better for your money elsewhere'. She started her Google review by saying: "Carvery collection - don't bother."
Her review in full added: "Shocking service. Ordered a carvery for collection which by definition should mean you show up at the collection time and ‘collect’ your order.
"Not be told to join the carvery queue, wait 15 minutes only to be given a flimsy plastic container with the last fatty bits of beef left from a joint and point blank refusal to change it for a fresh joint, the container to be covered by a flimsy bit of cling film and handed to you with a container to go and get your own gravy - that’s it.
"No bag to transport your ‘collection’, food isn’t even in a proper leak/spill proof container of some sort, oh and the roast potatoes that were paid for were missing. Terrible place.
"Shocking service. You can get far better for your money elsewhere."
The owner of the The White Swan responded to Nikki's Google review with just five clever words. Their response stated: "Thank you for your review."
The pub regularly receives positive reviews, with one reviewer adding: "I always have the carvery. Excellent service."
Another reviewer said: "Carvery lunch for a party of 19 ex-works colleagues. Party size confirmed in advance with the manager (Chris). Area set aside for us, good choice at the carvery and food excellent value for money."
While Dawn added: "Very welcoming and lovely atmosphere. Food was good value for money, quality excellent. Staff very helpful and pleasant. The gentleman who looked after us was pleasant and very professional. Would recommend."
