PSV Eindhoven supporters made sure the travelling Rangers support didn't get the perfect preparation for their Champions League playoff as they let off fireworks outside the team hotel.
The Dutch ultras will view the stunt as payback for the Rangers fans taking the same steps ahead of the first leg at Ibrox. Images emerged online before last Tuesday's clash of fireworks crackling right outside the windows of the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 2am where the Eredivise side's stars were attempting to sleep as they prepared for the clash in Govan.
However, while Gio van Bronckhorst 's men avoided the same disturbance in the Netherlands that the PSV stars faced, the Ibrox support weren't so lucky as images emerged on social media of fireworks being let off outside the entrance and windows of the upper floors of the hotel in Eindhoven. The flashes and noise appeared to go on for several minutes.
There has been plenty of fireworks behind the scenes at Ibrox this week with talisman Alfredo Morelos being dropped out of the squad making the European trip. Antonio Colak will lead the line on Wednesday.
But a sleepless night won't bother the travelling support should they see their side reach the Champions League group stage. It's all to play for at Phillips Stadion with the tie poised at 2-2 after an entertaining first leg.
