PSNI warn Coleraine road users of traffic disruption expected on Friday night

Police have warned road users of traffic disruption in Co Derry on Friday night.

This is due to a planned parade in Coleraine on May 26 and some road closures will be in place.

PSNI say officers will be on the ground to accommodate the flow of traffic but to avoid potential delays, drivers should seek an alternative route where possible.

"It will then make its way along Railway Road, Kingsgate Street, Long Commons, Newmarket Street, New Row, The Diamond, Bridge Street, Old Bridge, Slip Road, Killowen Street, Waterside, Old Bridge, Circular Road, Union Street, and Railway Road, before concluding at Ballycastle Road.

"Some roads in and around the town will be temporarily closed, with traffic diversions in place between eight and 11pm.

"Officers will be on the ground to accommodate the flow of traffic, but to avoid potential delays, please seek an alternative route for your journey where possible."
