Police in North Belfast have seized three “large knives” during a stop and search operation.
Details of the seizure are limited at this stage with the police only posting a brief Facebook post about the incident.
In the post they say: “Your Local Policing Team officers from Tennent Street PSNI have arrested a male following a stop and search where 3 large knives were located.
“Thank you to the members of the public who assisted in locating this male. Carrying any blade or point in a public place is an offence which will always be dealt with robustly by police. The risks to both members of the public and the person carrying the knife(s) are profound.”
