PSNI appeal after man attacked while he walked along Belfast Street

A man in his 20s has been attacked as he walked along a street in South Belfast.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the report of an assault this morning, Sunday November 27, in the University Avenue area.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “We received a report at 11.45am that a man in his 20’s had been assaulted as he walked along Carmel Street. The victim suffered facial injuries and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
