Provender Stores announces closure due to 'difficult time for small traders' amid cost of living crisis

A popular and much loved independent grocer in Dublin has announced the sad news that they are set to close.

Provender Stores, a grocer of wine and artisan foods located on Parkgate Street in Dublin, opened in June 2021. The owners of the business suggested on Instagram they have closed their premises due to the current economy which has become a difficult time for small traders.

They wrote on Instagram: "We have decided, that during this incredibly difficult time for small traders, that we will be closing Provender Stores. While it’s disappointing that we didn’t have more time or the financial capabilities to help it grow to its full potential, it will enable us to focus more on the cafe and continue to grow and nurture that side of the business as best we can, all things considered.
