KOTA: Families of two youngsters, who were killed in an attack over past enmity in Ramganjmandi town on Sunday, blocked the main road to the town for around 16 hours demanding a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for kin of each deceased and a government job for any of their family members. To bring the situation under control, Kota collector Harimohan Meena, Kota (Rural) SP Kavendra Singh Sagar, ASP Sitaram Prajapat, CO Sourabh Tiwari and SDM Rajesh Daga visited the town and negotiated with the kin of the deceased.
“It was only after the district administration assured them of compensation as per government norms, the families agreed to call off the demonstration. They also allowed the post-mortem to be conducted on Monday afternoon,” said SDM Rajesh Daga. Their bodies were later handed over to their respective family members after the postmortem on Monday noon.
