Proclamation ceremony to take place in West Dunbartonshire for King Charles III

A proclamation ceremony is due to be held in West Dunbartonshire tomorrow to declare King Charles III as monarch.

The former Prince of Wales automatically became King after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday afternoon in Balmoral.

Local dignitaries including Provost Douglas McAllister, Vice Lord Lieutenant Linda Moffat and leader of West Dunbartonshire Council, Councillor Martin Rooney will be in attendance at the event at the steps of the Municipal Building in Dumbarton.
