An investigation has been launched after a young man died in hospital after being taken from a Glasgow police station.
The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service have told the Police Investigations & Review Commissioner to investigate the circumstances of the death of the 26-year-old man.
He passed away in Glasgow Royal Infirmary after being taken there from Stewart Street police station in the city centre.

A statement posted on the PIRC website explains: "The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) has instructed us to investigate the circumstances of the death of a 26-year-old man in Glasgow Royal Infirmary on 22 March 2022.
"He was taken to hospital from the public area of Stewart Street police station. At the conclusion of our investigation a report will be sent to COPFS."
