Kennedy Airport and making their way to Wall Street on New Year's Day. Despite the Port Authority's efforts to prevent disruption, demonstrators managed to gather and block roads at one of the busiest travel hubs on a day when thousands were expected to fly. However, the airport staff tightened security measures, creating a perimeter and checking boarding passes to prevent any further disruptions.
Moving away from the airport, the protesters made their way to the financial district, converging in the heart of Wall Street. Hundreds of demonstrators chanted slogans demanding a ceasefire and a free Palestine. These frequent protests are part of a growing number of over 400 protests that have taken place since the October 7th attack by Hamas.
