Princess Charlotte's favourite snack is rather fancy for an eight-year-old

As Princess Charlotte celebrated her eighth birthday on May 2, she may have well been enjoying a 'fancy' snack other than cake.

The Princess of Wales has previously spoken of her children's appetite and favourite foods. While they love pizza and cheesy pasta like many kids, they also seem to be developing a sophisticated pallete.

Kate said how much her three children love to make “make salads and stuff” as well as their signature dish, cheesy pasta.

But as the Mirror writes, the Princess of Wales also quipped that Charlotte has a love of olives and eats them 'all the time'. Meanwhile, the youngest Louis has a state for beetroot.

Kate was filing with Mary Berry for a TV Christmas special back in 2020 and said: "We've got carrots, beans, beetroot – a massive favourite – Louis absolutely loves beetroot."

His older brother Prince George is said to love spaghetti carbonara.

Kate often speaks of her love of home cooking, including making pizzas with her children which they reportedly "can't get enough of."

Pasta and roast chicken are staples in the Wales household, while William and Kate have spoken about their love of smoothies and steak while on royal duty.

The family don't have much of a sweet tooth, according to Marie Claire, but they love Italian food like pasta and pizza.
