Princess Charlotte gives Prince Louis competition with Commonwealth Games funny faces

Princess Charlotte gave Prince Louis a run for his money with her funny faces yesterday, August 2, during the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. The only daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was treated to a day out by her parents at Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham, which made her grin from ear-to-ear.

Kate, William, and Charlotte arrived in the Midlands on Tuesday, shortly after the Earl and Countess of Wessex arrived with their children, Lady Louise and James, reports Birmingham Live. As Kate pointed things out and explained them to her seven-year-old daughter, William held onto one of the official programmes for the huge sporting event.

The members of The Firm present for yesterday's instalment of the Commonwealth Games cheered on England as 1,500m freestyle hopeful Luke Turley competed. But as Turley demonstrated his skills, Charlotte demonstrated her sass, rolling her eyes at her father before cracking a smile as Turley's heat wrapped up.

Charlotte's hair had been weaved into plaits and she wore a black and white striped dress for the special occasion, as Kate donned an all-white Alexander McQueen suit, promoting the art of re-wearing outfits. The three Cambridges attended the event just days after the opening ceremony, which was attended by Prince Charles.

Charles said: “On October 7 last year, this specially created Baton left Buckingham Palace to travel across the Commonwealth. Over the past 294 days, it has carried not only my message to you, but also the shared hopes and dreams of each nation and territory through which it has passed, as it made its way to Birmingham."

Fans of The Firm were truly delighted to see Charlotte at the event, with her appearance coming just days after she sent a sweet message via video to the Lionesses ahead of their Euro 2022 victory at Wembley on Sunday night.

This summer is certainly proving to be a busy one for the Cambridges, as not only have the family been attending the Commonwealth Games and holidaying in the Isles of Scilly, but they are also moving. Later this summer, the family-of-five, along with their beloved dog, Orla, will be moving from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage on the Queen's Windsor estate.

As a result, Prince George and Charlotte will be moving schools, with Prince Louis set to join them at Lambrook School in Berkshire when he starts school next month. Whilst it must be daunting for the children to make new friends, the move is rather exciting as it will allow them to be closer to their great-grandmother.
