Prince William and Kate Middleton's sweet tradition with kids before they leave for work

Kate Middleton and Prince William have three children together as they juggle their parenting duties alongside their work as senior royals.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are always up and down the country for events and even jetting abroad for functions, with Kate even visiting Denmark last week.

Most of the time when the couple are away, their three kids - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - will stay at home.

As reported in The Mirror, Prince William has revealed the sweet family tradition they have with the kids before he and Kate leave to work away from home.

During a visit to Wales yesterday, both William and Kate visited the town of Abergavenny, where they were greeted by scores of wellwishers.

According to PEOPLE magazine, one of those was local Liz Brewer, who asked William how his children were getting on.

And he replied: "The children are very well, thank you.

"They are always asking us where we are going. And we show them where we are on the map."

Later this month, the Cambridges will have to make sure they have a world map in order to show George, Charlotte and Louis where they are headed.

That's because they will be travelling to the Caribbean for a week-long trip to help mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The tour starts on March 19 and will take in Belize, Jamaica and The Bahamas before ending on March 26.

Kensington Palace said William and Kate will visit historic Mayan sites and celebrate the rich culture of the Garifuna community in Belize, as well as explore the country’s biodiversity.

In Jamaica, they will engage with the Jamaican Defence Force and celebrate the legacy of Bob Marley and other ground-breaking Jamaican musicians alongside potential stars of the future.

In the Bahamas, the Cambridges will visit a number of islands and experience a world-famous junkanoo parade.

The pair has asked to meet as many local people as possible, Kensington Palace said.

A spokeswoman added: “Their Royal Highnesses are very much looking forward to the visit, which will be their first joint official overseas tour since the onset of Covid-19 in 2020.”
