Prince Harry has said that his wife Meghan Markle not getting to meet his late mother, Princess Diana, is a huge 'missed opportunity'.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, sat down for an interview on Good Morning America, which aired in the US around 12pm in the UK today and gave royal fans a further insight into his life.
Ahead of the release of his bombshell memoir, Spare, Prince Harry has been giving interviews about his rift with the Royal family - in particular, his crumbling relationship with his older brother, Prince William.
After making claims that William warned him against Meghan as he dubbed her 'rude' and 'difficult', Harry has said that Meghan not getting the chance to meet Diana is a huge missed opportunity as he feels the two special women in his life have many similarities.
He also said that Diana would have recognised the 'missed opportunity' of Meghan being a part of the monarchy.
In his latest interview, Prince Harry told Good Morning America that he knows his late mother would adore Meghan as he discussed their similar experiences with being 'taunted' by the UK media.
Harry recalled himself and William standing at his late mother's grave where they discussed how Diana was 'very much in William's life' and helped set him up.
He also said: "I think my mother would realise the missed opportunity of Meghan being a part of the institution and part of the Monarchy.
"I think she would have seen the changes that are necessary."
It comes after Harry likened the royal family to 'abusers' in his bombshell interview with journalist Tom Bradby on ITV on Sunday night.
After stepping down from his Royal duties alongside wife Meghan Markle back in 2020, Prince Harry began to speak out against the Royal family - something which has left his family increasingly frustrated.
In his most recent bombshell interview, the Duke of Sussex has further slammed the Royal family, claiming that their treatment of him and his wife has been borderline abusive in recent years.
Speaking to Tom, Prince Harry said about his family: "Well they’ve shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile up until this point. And I'm not sure how honesty is burning bridges.
"You know, silence only allows the abuser to abuse. Right? So I don’t know how staying silent is ever gonna make things better. That’s genuinely what I believe."
