Prince Harry's eagerly anticipated memoir could be out in time for Christmas shoppers, it has been reported.
And one royal expert has said that Harry could use the book to issue counter claims made in an explosive new book about him and his wife Meghan Markle by feared biographer Tom Bower, which was released last week.
It is claimed that Harry's book, which the prince has described as a "truthful and wholly accurate" account of his life, is now written and has been signed off by lawyers.
It is hoped that the book will be released later this year around Thanksgiving in the US in late November in time for the Christmas market.
A publishing source told The Sun : “The manuscript has been finished and gone through all of the legal processes.
"It’s done and out of Harry’s hands. The publishing date has been pushed back once but it is on track for the end of the year.”
The source's comments come as royal expert Roya Nikkhah says that Harry's upcoming memoir may allow him to counter some of the claims made in Tom Bower's book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors.

Among the allegations in the book are that Meghan threw a cup of tea in the air during a Royal tour, while the Queen was said to be pleased the duchess couldn't attend Prince Philip's funeral.
The book also claims that Harry and Meghan wanted to appear with the Queen on Buckingham Palace's balcony during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations last month.
Roya told True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat: "I personally question whether or not the things that Harry feels he wants to say, he will feel he wants to say during the Queen’s lifetime.
"But the longer he delays it, the more he gets an opportunity to soak up the other things that are being written about him and put his own version of events, his own truth.
"So, if it’s not already at the printers under top secret, he may well have read the Bower book and be able to come back and rebut certain stuff.”
Meanwhile, the Mirror's royal editor Russell Myers says he imagines both Harry and Meghan and Buckingham Palace will be going through Mr Bower's book carefully.
He said: "They certainly weren’t privy to any extracts or serialisations before they appeared. So, I imagine the Palace’s lawyers, and the Sussexes' lawyers are poring over this.”
And Roya added: “Will the proof in the pudding [of whether allegations in the book are unfounded] be whether the Sussexes choose to take legal action over this?
"We know that they’re not shy in litigation, so it will be very interesting to see whether their lawyers take action over some of the more juicy claims made in this book.”
