King Charles III has instructed officials that Prince Harry and Meghan remain non-working members of the Royal Family, confirming that their status is unchanged following their return to the UK.

Lord Benyon, the Lord Chamberlain, issued the guidance on the King's behalf. The letter describes the Sussexes as 'akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests'.
