Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly been told they must be on their "best behaviour" if they are to attend the King's Coronation in May.
The "will they/won't they" attend conversation surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's potential appearance at the major ceremony continues to rumble on.
But now they've reportedly been warned they will be kicked out of the proceedings if they step out of line.
A source close to the royal family claims that if the duo the turn up to the event, they will be "watched like hawks" to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day and will face the wrath of Harry's dad, King Charles if they cause issues.
Speaking to Heat Magazine, the insider said: "If they put even a toe out of line, they'll be banned from future royal occasions," adding that there are "only so many olive branches Charles can offer".
The source also alleged that other members of the family are "baffled" that the duo received invites in the first place following their brutal snipes at the monarchy.
Hitting out at the couple for the "stress and negativity" caused in the build-up to the day, the source continued: "Bad behaviour will not be tolerated. Meghan and Harry are on the thinnest of ice - even if they don't seem to realise it."
In Prince Harry's memoir titled Spare, he hit out at the Queen Consort, Camilla. It followed his claims to Anderson Cooper that Camilla "sacrificed" him to improve her own reputation in the press as she tried to improve her public image.
Speaking to Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes ahead of his book launch in January, the Duke of Sussex claimed Camilla's need to rehabilitate her image made her dangerous due to the way she was forming relationships within the press.
He told the journalist: "There was open willingness on both sides to trade of information. And with a family built on hierarchy, and with her, on the way to being Queen consort, there was gonna be people or bodies left in the street because of that."
King Charles recently removed his son's access to Frogmore Cottage, which he had called home, following the fallout.
It was claimed that Harry's controversial autobiography was the final straw for the new monarch.
The decision to evict the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which is said to have left the couple "stunned", was reportedly made shortly after Harry's memoir was released in January.
