For those who thought that Primark couldn't have upped their game anymore, the popular budget retail store has released a dupe for an expensive designer coat, which shoppers are labelling as "gorgeous". Keen fashion lovers have raved about how cheap the alternative is, as it costs a fraction of the price in comparison to the £290 original.
After taking to the shops with her sister, Lauren Candy documented her shock on popular video-streaming service TikTok as she stumbled across the coat, which looks strikingly similar to North Face's coveted teddy jacket. The TikToker's video, which has already exceeded 120,000 views to date, showed off the store's cheaper £35 version.
In the original video of her shopping haul, Lauren raved about the Two Tone Fleece Puffer Jacket, saying "So, Primark have a dupe of the North Face that went viral last year and it's only £35!"
In a follow-up clip, the shopper gave the coat further attention. She captioned the post: "SHES [sic] COZY."
The woman then tried on the cream puffer jacket, which is made of 100% polyester and features a cream fluffy design.
It includes a brown two-tone addition on the shoulder pads and high-neck, which adds an ideal contrast to the long-sleeved wardrobe staple.
Sharing the video online, Lauren wrote beside the post: "Not the North Face teddy dupe in Primark, it has a concealed hood and insulated inside
"Actually good quality for £35," she gushed.
The store's description of the jacket reads: "We’d normally never say we’re counting down til the colder weather (we much prefer sun than ice, if we’re honest), but this jacket definitely has us hoping for cooler temperatures.
"Its puffed-up, padded silhouette is made from fuzzy fleece to keep it feeling ultra-cosy, while the two front pockets and its high-neck collar are cut from tonal shell that’ll help to hold off the rain. Winter? We’re ready for you now."
Taking to the comment section of the post, Lauren assured budding customers that the jacket also comes in black too if they were keen to purchase.
Alternatively, they can check if the original is stocked in their local stores here.
Taking their thoughts to the comments, users gushed over Lauren's find, as one person penned: "All of this stuff is gorgggg."
An eager customer wrote: "I got it yesterday omg eager shopper."
A third tagged a friend and commented: "Need this!"
On the other hand, another user shared a suggestion of where to buy another alternative to North Face's original, saying: "H&M have done a dupe for it too for £20."
