President Election Result: Droupadi Murmu leads after round of MPs votes counting

Counting of MLAs votes underway

New Delhi: The counting of Members of Parliament votes which began on Thursday morning is complete. NDA nominee Droupadi Murmu secured 540 MPs votes with a value of 3,78,000 while joint Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha got 208 MPs votes with a value of 1,45,600.

The counting of MLAs votes has begun. The results are expected to be declared anytime by this evening.

The voting took place on 18 July.
