Weighing 41 and 40 pounds respectively, these turkeys were hatched in Minnesota and specially trained for their pardon. The ceremony took place on the White House South Lawn, where Biden humorously addressed the birds' behavior, urging them to 'keep calm and gobble on'.

Reflecting on his long public service career, Biden expressed gratitude and thanked the audience for the honor of serving as president. He emphasized the importance of family, friends, and neighbors, highlighting the blessings of living in the United States.

Following the event, the President and First Lady planned to celebrate a 'friendsgiving' dinner with troops in the New York area before spending Thanksgiving with family on Nantucket. Meanwhile, Peach and Blossom, now spared from the Thanksgiving table, will retire to Farmamerica in Minnesota, where they will serve as poultry ambassadors for agricultural students.
