Summer is almost here and trainers in Pokémon GO are invited to join the Scorching Steps event. It's happening on June 21 at 10:00 a.m. (local time) to June 25 at 8:00 p.m. (local time).
During the event, trainers lucky enough may get Larvesta from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs. There's also the chance to hatch a Shiny Larvesta, which is a first in the game. Other Pokémon hatching from Eggs during the event are:
- 2 km Eggs
- Growlithe
- Slugma
- Houndour
- Magby
- 5 km Eggs
- Hisuian Growlithe
- Darumaka
- Litwick
- Litleo
- 10 km Eggs
- Turtonator
- Charcadet
Event Bonuses
Some of you are probably wondering if there are any bonuses. Not to worry since we didn't forget. For this event, the bonuses are:
- 2× Candy from hatching Eggs.
- 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance for first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget.
- Increased chance to encounter and hatch Shiny Slugma and Shiny Litleo.
The Research
There's going to be event-themed Field Research tasks available and those who complete them get to encounter Slugma or Litleo. There's even a chance to encounter Turtonator
Available as well are event-themed Timed Research. Hatch Eggs to earn Stardust, XP, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
Community Day
While waiting for the Scorched Steps event, trainers can take part in the June 2024 Community Day. It's happening this Sunday, June 9, from 2:00 p.m. (local time0 to 5:00 p.m. (local time). The highlight the Community Day is Goomy, which is appearing more frequently. There's also a lot of bonuses to enjoy during this Community Day and these are:
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
