Premier League referees to crack down on holding in penalty area

Premier League referees will be instructed to crack down on holding in the box this season.

It is understood that greater emphasis will be placed on holding in the 2025-26 campaign, in particular where officials consider it sustained and impactful, and more penalties could be given as a result.
