Various Premier League 2022/23 fixtures appear to have been leaked three days ahead of the official release this week. With the full schedule set to be released at 9am on Thursday, some fans believe the opening eight weeks of the season have been ‘leaked’.
The list of fixtures - of which the validity remains in doubt for a number of reasons - have been circulating for around the past 24 hours, which shows eight rounds of Premier League matches. It begins on the opening weekend of August 6 – a week earlier than last season due to the winter World Cup in Qatar – to September 24.
However, this list of fixtures should perhaps be taken with a pinch of salt for various reasons. First of all, it fails to take into account the September international break, with England set to return to Nations League action on September 23rd against Italy and then on the 26th against Germany, which is when the final set of fixtures are supposedly penciled in on the leak.
