Premier League bosses appear to have listened to the annual rants of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp about the fixture scheduling around the Christmas period.
It follows the release and confirmation of top-flight games for the upcoming season, which will be split into two by the World Cup in winter. With the final for the tournament coming on 18 December, it means the Premier League will return to action with the Boxing Day round of games.
Traditionally, some teams have had just a 48 hour turnaround between matches following their matches on the 26th. That was the case with Liverpool last season, who had been scheduled to face Leicester just two days after a Boxing Day game against Leeds.
