Gemma Atkinson has shared how her daughter's sweet vow left her in bits before apologising for the 'morbid' message. The Hits Radio star took to Instagram on Monday (March 27) to share how she thought her daughter may have felt bad about an incident with her and the family's two beloved dogs, Ollie and Norman.
Speaking to the camera in a clip posted to her Instagram Story, Gemma, who is pregnant with her second after she and her Strictly star fiancé Gorka Marquez revealed they were expanding their brood back in January, said: "Morning guys. Hope everyone's good. I'm just making myself an omelette.
"It's not gone well today. I'm a bit tired." The 38-year-old went on to say: "Mia said this morning, it set me off, I think she was feeling a bit bad for moaning about the dogs being in her way when she was playing... She went, 'Mummy, I've decided that every for the rest of my life I will sit with Norman and Ollie at breakfast.

"I went, 'Oh really?' And she went, 'Every single day for the rest of my life.'" Sharing why the comment cut her up so much, Gemma went on: "Obviously, I don't know if it's being pregnant or what, but in my head, I went, 'They're not going to be here for the rest of your life because life's s**t like that'. [But] I just went, 'Oh that'd be amazing, won't it?'
"Then I thought oh Go, hopefully, it's years and years of but how do you even broach that topic with a child? Thye've been here every single day since she came home from the hospital. Ah, happy bloody Monday on that note!"
The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star then headed outside where she filmed herself sitting in the spring sunshine which she said instantly put her in a "brighter mood".
As she basked in the nice weather with a hot drink, she added: "Sorry for being morbid before. It just entered my head because she's never said that to me before. And I remember when my dog first died, Fergie. I had to have time off school. I was inconsolable. Anyway, happy Monday!"
Over the weekend, Gemma shared how she'd been forced to ditch her engagement ring as she joked about a common pregnancy symptom. She shared a photo of her bare hand to her Instagram Story and said: "Had to take my ring off as it's got too tight," appearing to refer to her sparkling engagement ring which was presented to her when Gorka popped the question on Valentine's Day 2021.
"Even my fingers are pregnant with this little fells," Gemma, who is expecting a little boy with dancer Gorka, 32, then joked. Earlier this week, the Bury-born star shared her latest fitness clip with her social media followers. She could be seen working up a sweat with a variety of weight exercises and stretching moves. Opening up alongside the video, set to Whitney Houston track Step by Step, Gemma wrote: "Taking it slow, day by day."
She went on to share: "I'm carrying a lot bigger this time. I feel like I’m pregnant from the neck down [crying laughing emoji] so I’m finding things harder at the minute. Things like putting shoes on, picking up dog poo, sitting comfy. I find (for me) doing small workouts and movements daily is helping with the aches I get being sedentary."
