Gemma Atkinson has blamed her 'hormones' after appearing to get emotional over a sweet tribute from her fiance Gorka Marquez. The Strictly Come Dancing star was marking International Women's Day when he posted a string of images of Gemma, who is expecting their second child, with their daughter, Mia.
The first showed three-year-old Mia sweetly placing her hand on her mum's blossoming baby bump as they sat on the sofa inside their Greater Manchester home. Others showed the pair out and about while one showed a beaming Gemma, 38, walking down the high street in her glasses while another saw Mia out in the garden sporting her own personalised pink cardigan.
"Today and every day I celebrate you. #happyinternationalwomensday you are my everything @glouiseatkinson," Gorka, 32, typed alongside the string of images. And Gemma was quick to reply.
She posted an emoji of a face holding back tears as well as a red heart before writing: "Too hormonal for that," and adding a crying laughing emoji. Gorka's Strictly co-star Karen Hauer also posted a string of red hearts under the post as the pair are currently on tour together with their show, Firedance.
And fans were also gushing over the sweet post. @junebholly said: "What a lovely thing to say, but Gemma has also found someone wonderful in you!!" @cazsmyth69 commented: "Lovely words and lovely photos." @brattallie replied: "It’s so beautiful the way you love Gemma."
@paulinerobertson6 wrote: "So lovely to see a man so in love with his wife and not afraid to declare it publicly. What a beautiful couple they are and Mia and new baby are very lucky to be so cherished." @janet.thew added: "So lovely. You two were meant to meet on SCD."
Gemma, meanwhile, also shared her own post dedicated to her daughter. It featured a video of the former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star holding on to her then-younger daughter as she planted a kiss on her head. There was then a more recent photo of the mother and daughter pair on a recent trip to Bilbao in Spain, where Gorka is from, and a third snap of Mia sporting a pair of glasses and smiling for the camera.
"To my little lady. On this day and everyday. know your potential is endless, know your worth and know I will ALWAYS have your back," Gemma typed alongside the post. And again, fans were soon commenting on the post.
