Like them or loathe them, gender reveals have become hugely popular in recent years. The wholesome tradition is commonly seen with a couple cutting open a bespoke cake, which will reveal the defining colours - either blue or pink - inside.
However, two expecting parents were left speechless as a bakery accidentally ruined their gender reveal by proving the incorrect cake. Lyss - who posts under account @alyssa_quintos - shared the unfortunate moment on TikTok, which has rocketed in views since sharing.
Captioning the post, Lyss wrote: "When the bakery has one job." The video clip, which has surpassed 14.9 million views to date, captured the moment the pregnant couple sliced into their cake to reveal the colour underneath.
