Predict Premier League results from Manchester United's opening fixtures of 2022/23 season

Erik ten Hag faces something of a baptism of fire after Manchester United’s fixtures were confirmed for the 2022/23 Premier League season.

All 380 games for the new campaign have now been released, with the new season getting under way on Friday, August 5. United get started a couple of days later on August 7, when they take on Brighton at Old Trafford.

Memories of that 4-0 defeat on the south coast last month will be fresh in the memories for plenty of United fans. A trip to Brentford follows six days later, before United face bitter rivals Liverpool a in just their third game of the season.

United then round off the month with trips to Southampton (August 27) and Leicester (August 30) before another tricky test to start September. Ten Hag’s side host Arsenal on September 3, when they’ll look to make an early statement of intent as they aim for a top four finish.

A trip to Crystal Palace follows a week later, with United hosting Leeds (September 17) in their final fixture before the first international break of the season. The question is, what position will they be in at that point?
